JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Truck & Trailer Mechanic in Regina Saskatchewan to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered trucks and trailers. The successful candidate will ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and compliant with Saskatchewan Transportation and CVIP standards, while minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air systems on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
- Perform preventive maintenance services in accordance with manufacturer and fleet schedules
- Repair brakes, steering, and suspension
- Service trailer components including axles, air brake systems, lighting, doors, landing gear, and frames
- Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot faults
- Complete repair orders, inspection reports, and maintenance records accurately
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following OH&S standards
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers
- Valid driver’s license; Class 1 or 3 an asset
- CVIP certification or ability to obtain
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in shop and outdoor environments

- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to safety, detail, and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and time-management skills
- Willingness to work overtime and shifts as required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shop for extended periods.
- Ability to lift or move parts and materials up to 50 lbs.
