JOB DESCRIPTION
- Operational Leadership
- Direct and coordinate activities of warehouse associates during the shift.
- Assign tasks such as picking, packing, staging, loading, receiving, and replenishment based on workflow priorities.
- Monitor productivity and provide coaching to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Assist with onboarding and training new team members.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment as required.
- Ensure orders are picked accurately and shipped on time.
- Oversee receiving processes, including unloading, verification, and put-away of inbound goods.
- Support cycle counts and full inventory counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and coordinate with supervisors for resolution.
- Promote and enforce all company safety policies and OSHA standards.
- Conduct safety walk-throughs and report hazards, violations, or equipment issues.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe material-handling practices.
- Identify process gaps or inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Work closely with supervisors and managers to support workflow optimization.
- Monitor equipment and facility conditions and report maintenance needs.
- Communicate shift updates, priorities, and concerns to the supervisor.
- Complete required logs, checklists, and reports.
- Participate in shift handoff meetings to ensure continuity of operations.
Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of warehouse or distribution experience.
- Experience in a lead, senior associate, or acting leadership role preferred.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners.
- Ability to operate or learn material handling equipment (forklift certification is a plus).
- Strong communication and team leadership abilities.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, WMS, email).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs routinely.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, or lift for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in varying warehouse conditions (temperature, noise, etc.).
