Position Overview
The HR Manager for the Atlanta plant serves as both a strategic HR partner
and a hands-on operational leader. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager,
this role oversees all HR functions within the facility and ensures the plant
maintains a safe, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
This position combines strategic influence—driving talent pipelines, enhancing employee engagement, and advancing HR transformation—with daily HR generalist duties such as employee relations, staffing, compliance, training, and benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Plant 23 leadership team, shaping HR strategies aligned with plant and corporate priorities.
- Lead initiatives in talent development, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and succession.
- Partner with Corporate HR to ensure site-level practices align with companywide HR goals while supporting local operational needs.
- Drive change management and continuous improvement efforts that
enhance the plant culture and workforce capabilities.
Employee Experience & Relations
- Champion a positive, inclusive workplace culture that promotes collaboration, accountability, and employee engagement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, providing coaching, conflict resolution, and policy guidance.
- Conduct and lead investigations to ensure consistent, compliant
application of company policies.
Build trust through proactive communication strategies and support union-free workplace initiatives.
Talent Management & Staffing
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly, salaried, and temporary roles for Plant 23.
- Oversee effective onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration and accelerated performance for new hires.
- Advise supervisors and managers on performance management, feedback practices, and merit-based compensation decisions.
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines to strengthen leadership bench
strength and address critical plant skill needs.
Compensation, Benefits & HR Systems
- Administer competitive, compliant compensation and benefits programs for Plant 23 employees.
- Provide employee education and support regarding health benefits, open enrollment, and wellness resources.
- Maintain accurate and compliant HRIS data (preferably ADP) and personnel records.
- Utilize HR metrics and analytics to monitor workforce trends and
support data-driven decision making.
Safety, Compliance & Workers’ Compensation
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and workplace safety regulations.
- Support the onsite HSE team by reinforcing safety programs and employee training initiatives.
- Oversee Workers’ Compensation case management, ensuring timely reporting and effective claim resolution.
- Monitor regulatory changes and recommend updates to policies and
practices as needed.
Training & Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate development programs that support plant objectives and employee growth.
- Deliver or facilitate leadership development and workforce training initiatives.
- Provide coaching to supervisors and managers to strengthen their
skills in employee engagement, performance management, and HR best
practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business or similar.
- 5+ years of experience. May consider equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree.
