Job Description
To provide engineering support in the design and manufacture of
Dexter Vent and Door components and products.
To provide technical support to Dexter Vent and Door Customers; OEM,
Service Technicians, and end-users in specifying, installing, using,
troubleshooting, and repair of the existing product applications. To provide programming and maintenance of the
TCM Product Configurator in the support of Dexter Door Products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain
the TCM Product Configurator.
Create
new and maintain existing configured product lines.
Perform
item maintenance by creating new part numbers for purchased and manufactured
parts.
Perform
Bill of Materials maintenance.
Perform
features and options maintenance.
Maintain
the rule-based configurator.
Assist
Dexter production by supplying and identifying the appropriate shop floor
operation comments used in shop order creation for the door schedules.
Maintain
ECN/ECR database.
Provide engineering support to the support
functions such as Quality, Materials, and Customer Service departments.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Qualifications:
Education
Level: Bachelor’s Degree
Education
Program/Area of Study: Engineering
Languages
Required: English
Knowledge & Experience:
5-year
related experience required
4-year bachelor’s
degree or greater or a combination of education and experience.
Strong technical knowledge of the software,
hardware, and systems they work with.
Must be able to communicate technical information
to non-technical stakeholders and work collaboratively with other teams, such
as product management, sales, and customer support.
Ability to read and interpret schematics
Must be proficient in CAD

Working Conditions:
Travel

Environment: Office and Non-climate controlled manufacturing environment.

as needed; be able to stand for extended periods of time; and able to lift up
to 50 lbs.
