JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist the plant in achieving inventory level KPI’s.
· Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
· Immediately act upon hotlists from KPI boards and provide responses to production.
· Immediately act upon production supply list request and provide responses to production.
· Maintain documents such as KPI’s, Kanban sheets, parts spreadsheet by vendor, and production supplies to determine material prioritization, availability, and requirements.
· Analyze all material planning sheets referenced above, and place orders as needed and provide immediate feedback to production.
· Confer with plant personnel to coordinate with vendors and production or shipping activities to eliminate delays/part outages.
· Compute’s amount of long lead time material requirements with materials required necessary to complete short lead time job orders.
· Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in process production reports, and statue and location of materials.
· Reviews production scheduled and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track materials.
· Requisitions materials and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability.
