JOB DESCRIPTION
Overview:
The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations, ensuring a safe working environment, adherence to quality standards, on time delivery, and efficient production processes. They lead and manage production and shipping/receiving teams, coordinate schedules, monitor equipment, and drive performance to meet production goals, customer requirements, and company objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce workplace safety policies, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality standards; implement corrective actions to address defects or issues.
- Customer Service: Supports scheduling activities and works with customer service and sales to make sure that customer needs are being met in a timely fashion.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, motivate, and direct production staff, communicating job expectations, monitoring performance, and providing coaching, feedback, and discipline as needed.
- Production Management: Plan,
schedule, and coordinate production activities to ensure on-time delivery
and adherence to quality standards
Workflow Optimization: Oversee production workflows, set processing variables, monitor equipment, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. - Resource Management: Assign personnel, manage resources, and ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment, coordinating repairs as needed.
- Performance Tracking: Compile and analyze production data, track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and report on production progress and issues.
- Problem Solving: Identify operational abnormalities, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Employee Development: Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and training employees, fostering skill development and growth opportunities.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work with other departments (e.g., maintenance, quality, logistics) to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues.
- Process Improvement: Develop and revise systems, procedures, and reporting mechanisms to optimize operations and record-keeping.
- Compliance and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment by enforcing policies and educating staff.

Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Manufacturing , or a related technical
field, and 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment,
preferably in a supervisory role.
Knowledge of manufacturing
processes, lean principles, and safety regulations is often preferred.
Strong leadership,
communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
EDUCATION:
Typically requires an Associate’s Degree in Business,
Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
