JOB DESCRIPTION
This internship supports Dexter Talent/HR Team with Employer Branding, Employee Engagement, Social Media and other aspects of designing and contributing to the promotion of our brand to job seekers, new hires and existing employees. This intern will be responsible for assisting the Dexter Team with HR cross-functional projects in alignment with the Marketing team.
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office at our Elkhart HQ location along with 2 days remote.
- As an intern, you will be working on robust, hands-on projects. Potential projects may include, but not limited to:
- Supporting the design and maintenance of marketing materials for the HR department with a focus on creating new hire collateral packages, onboarding and orientation materials.
- Assisting in the coordination of employee engagement event planning and execution
- Creation of employee communication emails and signage
- Sourcing and distributing promotional items and support materials
- Working closely with the Marketing team to ensure HR aligns with the Dexter brand guidelines in our messaging, look and feel of graphic designs.
- Partnering on the concept and creation of employer brand photography and videos
- Maintaining and promotion of digital assets (photos, videos) online in websites and social media.
- Creation and/or enhancement of HR forms and templates
- Writing and revising job ads for open positions being posted in the Dexter Career site, LinkedIn and Indeed
- Supporting the Dexter Intern Program with planning and event coordination as well as being a primary central point of contact for interns.
Minimum Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following:
· Proficient graphic design and social media skills
· Fluent in Canva, PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator and/or other design tools
· An understanding of marketing fundamentals
· Ability to “think outside the box”, to conceptualize and offer ideas
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· High level of ethics and accountability
· Ability to maintain professionalism in all settings
· Possess strict confidentiality of company HR, trademark, and business information
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Dependable and responsible
· Attention to detail
EDUCATION
You must be actively enrolled an accredited university working towards a Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Graphic Design, Communications or related area of study.
