JOB DESCRIPTION
Applies principles of accounting, researches and analyzes accounting data in order to provide financial information to management in the areas of general accounting, cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Performs general accounting functions, including operation of the general ledger system, journal entries, and month-end close.
- Primary focus on fixed asset and lease accounting.
- Performs balance sheet account reconciliations and associated journal entries.
- Support ad hoc and routine daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting and analysis for business unit and corporate.
- Assists branches in resolving accounting issues.
- Contributes to the preparation of schedules and supporting documents for external and internal audits.
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls. Performs other tasks or duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or comparable discipline.
- 1-3 years related experience is required.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Must be highly analytical with the ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Must be highly organized, results driven, technically capable, effective written and verbal communicator, service oriented, and a self-starter.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
- Must be able to perform work to a high level of quality standards while meeting established deadlines.
