Senior Accountant at our Corporate Headquarters located in Elkhart, Indiana.

The Senior Accountant applies
principles of accounting, researches and analyzes accounting data in order to
provide financial information to management in the areas of accounts
receivable, sales, intercompany, finance and operating leases and general
accounting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Reconciles and maintains assigned balance sheet accounts.
- Performs general accounting functions, including operation of the general ledger system, journal entries and month-end close.
- Performs balance sheet account reconciliations and associated journal entries.
- Reconciles and manages intercompany reconciliation process on a monthly basis.
- Completes monthly reporting requirements for external bankers.
- Manages lease accounting for operating and finance leases.
- Develops accounting policies.
- Works with plants in resolving plant accounting issues.
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
- No direct supervisor responsibilities. However, will work closely with general accountants on team in a review capacity.
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting and at least 4-5 years work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be a self-starter, self-disciplined, and driven; able to take direction and execute.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs including Excel.
